Baylake Bank Employees Raise More than
$17,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities

November 20, 2013 -- Green Bay, WI

As part of an annual bank-wide community service commitment Baylake Bank staff together with the support of Baylake customers, friends, and the local business community, raised $17,153 for Ronald McDonald House Charities (Eastern Wisconsin). Results were announced at a recent all-staff meeting after several months of collective efforts.

“Our bank and our employees are supportive of many worthwhile organizations that benefit local human service needs, education, economic support, and other quality of life enrichment needs within the communities we serve. The Ronald McDonald House is one more example of a worthwhile cause that has a significant positive impact for families in Northeast Wisconsin. It was a true pleasure to be able to present the check to Ann Petrie on behalf of the many people who supported our fundraising projects,” said Sally Bjork, Baylake’s Community Service Chairperson for 2013.

The Ronald McDonald House is a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill or injured children. Since opening its doors in 1984, more than 34,000 families have called the Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee, home. At little to no cost, this home offers families the opportunity to stay together which helps their child heal faster. No one is ever turned away due to their inability to pay.

“I was overwhelmed by the support Baylake Bank gave to the Ronald McDonald House. I had no idea the amount of financial contribution that was going to be made and was overwhelmed that this great group of employees rallied together to raise over $17,000. I also brought back a carload of Ronald McDonald House “wish list” items for our families to use and enjoy, including breakfast and snack items, stuffed animals and toys, paper products and more, said Ann Petrie, President/CEO Ronald McDonald House Charities.

“Rob Cera (President and CEO of Baylake Bank) is a special friend to the Ronald McDonald House with his past board involvement and thanks to his encouragement and the employees of Baylake Bank selecting the RMH as its charity this year, I am touched that we now have many more special friends that support our mission. Your donations will allow us to provide a “home away from home” to over 1000 families who stay with us each year, many of whom live in Northeast Wisconsin. We are very appreciative for everything,” she added.

Baylake Bank serves Northeast Wisconsin from 20 community financial centers offering full-service personal and business banking.
