Why ImagePass?  A User ID and Password have been key components of security since Baylake Bank was among the pioneers of online banking in 1997.  While the features of internet banking have increased during this past decade, we all are aware of increasing security threats like identity theft.  Your diligent efforts to protect your password remain your top security defense.  However, newer threats like Phishing are prompting us to use cutting edge technology to help safeguard your information as well.  It's important to know who is really on the other end of your computer.  ImagePass is an additional layer of security to help both you and Baylake Bank verify who is on the other end of the computer.

What is ImagePass?  ImagePass is an account access feature that uses a photo or graphic image to further enhance your account security.

Be Sure it's Baylake Bank.  Baylake Bank wants you to be sure that when you enter your Access ID and Password, you are REALLY on our website, and not a phony one.  You will be presented with an Image and Pass Phrase that will be our secret key that can assure that you are on eBanc.  Only you will know your Image and Pass Phrase.  If you don't see the Image and Pass Phrase that you recognize, DON'T enter your password!

Baylake Bank Makes Sure it's You.  ImagePass will provide an option to click to register your personal computer, or one used exclusively by you.  If you choose to register the computer, ImagePass will place a "cookie" and small Flash object on your computer.  This will identify the computer as registered to you, but no personal or private data is stored in these.  The next time you Log in, ImagePass will use this information to make sure it is your registered personal computer.  If it is, you will see your Image and Pass Phrase, and be able to enter your Password.    If your computer is not registered, ImagePass will ask you to answer one of your Challenge Questions to verify you.  When answered correctly, your Image and Pass Phrase will be presented.

I'm an Existing eBanc user.  What will change?  You will be asked to register for this service and ImagePass will be provided for you.   You will view the following:
1.  Authentication Image: You will be given an Image, or Photo, similar to the coffee cup and pancakes pictured at the right.
Photo of coffee cup and pancakes. Great Day.
2.  Authentication Pass Phrase: Type a caption under the Image, as in the "Great Day" example pictured at the right.  DO NOT type your password as this Image caption.
3.  Three Challenge Questions:  You will be asked to select and answer three questions, with answers that only you would know.

If you are on a personal computer that is not available to the public you may choose to register your computer.  ImagePass will place a cookie and small Flash object on your computer.  No personal or private data is stored in these, but this will identify the computer as registered to you.  The next time you Log in, ImagePass will use this information to make sure it is your registered personal computer.  If it is, you will see your Image and Pass Phrase.  If you are sure the Image and Pass Phrase are yours, you can enter your Password for access to eBanc.

If you choose to keep the computer unregistered, ImagePass will ask you to answer one of your Challenge Questions to verify you each time you Log In.  When you enter the correct answer, your Image and Pass Phrase will be presented.   If you are sure the Image and Pass Phrase are yours, you can enter your Password for access to eBanc.

I'm a New eBanc user.   What should I know?  The first time you Log In to eBanc, click the "First Time Users" button.  That will help you reset your password, and you will be able to start using eBanc.  The second time you Log In you will be asked to register for ImagePass.  ImagePass consists of three things:
1.  Authentication Image: You will be given an Image, or Photo, similar to the coffee cup and pancakes pictured above.
2.  Authentication Pass Phrase: Type a caption under the Image, as in the "Great Day" example pictured above. DO NOT type your password as this Image caption.
3.  Three Challenge Questions:  You will be asked to answer three questions, with answers that only you would know.

If you are on a personal computer that is not available to the public you may choose to register your computer.  ImagePass will place a cookie and small Flash object on your computer.  No personal or private data is stored in these.  This will identify the computer as registered to you.  The next time you Log in, ImagePass will use this information to make sure it is your registered personal computer.  If it is, you will see your Image and Pass Phrase, and be able to enter your Password.

If you choose to keep the computer unregistered, ImagePass will ask you to answer one of your Challenge Questions to verify you each time you Log In.  When answered correctly, your Image and Pass Phrase will be presented.   If you are sure the Image and Pass Phrase are yours, you can enter your Password for access to eBanc.

Should I register my personal computer?
You will be asked whether you are using a Personal Computer or Public Computer.  Choosing a Personal Computer will make it a Registered Computer.   Do not select this option if the public has access to the computer.  By using a Registered Computer, Baylake Bank will be able to verify you automatically, and will not need to ask Challenge Questions.

Registered Personal Computers:  If your personal computer is registered, the next time you Log In to eBanc, you will:
1.  Enter your Access ID
2.  Verify if the Image and Pass Phrase are yours:
     If yes, enter your Password
If not your Image or Pass Phrase (or missing), DO NOT enter your Password

Public Computers:  You should not register computers that are not yours.  ImagePass will not recognize an unregistered computer, so your Image and Pass Phrase will not automatically appear.  Instead, you will be asked to answer one of your Challenge Questions, so ImagePass can be sure that it is really you who wants to access your accounts.  When you Log In to eBanc on a public computer:
1.  Enter your Access ID
2.  A Challenge Question will appear.  Answer it exactly.
3.  Verify if the Image and Pass Phrase are yours.
     If yes, enter your Password
If not your Image or Pass Phrase (or missing), DO NOT enter your Password

Can I register more than one Personal Computer?
Yes, you may register all of your personal computers.  For your protection, do not register public computers so your Image and Pass Phrase can remain our extra layer of security.

Can I register a personal Computer that I share with someone else who may also use eBanc?
Yes, each of you will identified independently.  We will be able to identify who each of you are based on your User ID and the cookie placed on your personal computer at registration..

What if I don't see the right Image or Pass Phrase? What if the Image doesn't appear?  If you don't see your Image and Pass Phrase, or if they are not the right ones, DO NOT ENTER YOUR PASSWORD.

Try again by opening a new browser window.  Go to the Baylake Bank website by typing http://www.baylake.com as the Address.  Do not go to the page using any links or an email sent to you.  Click Log In, and try again.  If you still do not see the correct Image or Pass Phrase, contact Baylake Bank at 920-743-5551 or 1-800-267-3610  for assistance.

What if I forget the Answer to my Challenge Question?  If you forget the answer to your Challenge Question, you will be asked one of your other Challenge Questions.  If you forget the answer to that question too, you will be locked out of eBanc.  Contact Baylake Bank at 920-743-5551 or 1-800-267-3610 for assistance.
