Christianson Celebrates 50 Years with Baylake Bank

November 4, 2013 -- Sturgeon Bay, WI

The management and staff of Baylake Bank, recently honored Bookkeeping Clerk Dorathy Christianson for 50 years of service to the community and to bank clients.

We wish to congratulate Dorathy on reaching this significant career milestone and for the many years of dedication and service to Baylake Banks mission to help build the good life for our customers, said Baylake Bank President and CEO Robert J. Cera.

Christianson began working at Bank of Sturgeon Bay (now Baylake Bank) in the early 1960s in the proof department. Her attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, made her a quality fit with her responsibilities in various bookkeeping operations, supervisory, and customer service roles over the course of her career. She said she has experienced a lot of change in the industry, particularly moving from the days of proof machines and more paper, to now faster, as well as safer means of electronic payments and more efficient bank processing. However, what hasnt changed over time is her commitment to accuracy and her customers.

I have always enjoyed people. My goal in helping our customers has always been to help make them feel comfortable with their finances, Dorathy said. I have always found purpose and value in helping people. I will miss my coworkers and our customers the most.

Dorathy may be retiring from Baylake Bank, but says she will continue to volunteer in the community as well as looks forward to spending more time with her four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

We wish Dorathy the very best in enjoying her well-deserved retirement, Cera said.
