Why ImagePass? A User ID and Password have been key components of security since Baylake Bank was among the pioneers of online banking in 1997. While the features of internet banking have increased during this past decade, we all are aware of increasing security threats like identity theft. Your diligent efforts to protect your password remain your top security defense. However, newer threats like Phishing are prompting us to use cutting edge technology to help safeguard your information as well. It's important to know who is really on the other end of your computer. ImagePass is an additional layer of security to help both you and Baylake Bank verify who is on the other end of the computer. What is ImagePass? ImagePass is an account access feature that uses a photo or graphic image to further enhance your account security.
I'm an
Existing eBanc user. What will change? You will be
asked to register for this service and ImagePass will be provided for
you. You will view the following: If you are on a personal computer that is not available to the public you may choose to register your computer. ImagePass will place a cookie and small Flash object on your computer. No personal or private data is stored in these, but this will identify the computer as registered to you. The next time you Log in, ImagePass will use this information to make sure it is your registered personal computer. If it is, you will see your Image and Pass Phrase. If you are sure the Image and Pass Phrase are yours, you can enter your Password for access to eBanc. If you choose to keep the computer unregistered, ImagePass will ask you to answer one of your Challenge Questions to verify you each time you Log In. When you enter the correct answer, your Image and Pass Phrase will be presented. If you are sure the Image and Pass Phrase are yours, you can enter your Password for access to eBanc.
