Baylake Corp. Annual Meeting Highlights 2011 Progress and Wealth Services Niche Focus
Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin –
June 5, 2012 Cera, President and Chief Executive Officer for Baylake Corp. and Baylake Bank, presented an overview of Baylake Corp. 2011 year-end results as well as noted performance highlights through the first quarter 2012. “We are pleased with the progress made in 2011 with regards to improved profitability and increased capital levels,” said Cera. Cera commented that the reinstatement of Baylake’s common stock dividend was a highlight for 2012. He also noted that several areas of focus for 2012 will continue to include credit quality improvement, expansion of the commercial loan portfolio, expense control around improved branch efficiency, and growth of the wealth services division. At the conclusion of Cera’s presentation Senior Vice President Kenneth Lammersfeld and Baylake Investment Financial Advisor Brian R. Hartl, were introduced. Lammersfeld presented an overview of Baylake’s current efforts to strategically expand wealth services from once “ancillary services” to fulfill a strategic niche focus. Lammersfeld noted the significant opportunities that are available through Baylake Asset Management and Trust, as well as Baylake Investment Services to help clients, but specifically mentioned the opportunity to help the Baby Boomer generation as they approach retirement. He noted many successes to date including progress made with the Licensed Banker Program, which expands delivery of some wealth service product offerings by licensed Personal Bankers and Financial Center Managers, as well as LPL Financial recent recognition of top 2011 Financial Advisors Darrick Munsch and Hartl. Cera concluded the presentation portion of the meeting by inviting questions and thanking shareholders for their continued commitment to the company.
