December 6, 2011 --
Baylake Bank Vice President Lindsay Tafelski was promoted to VP Mortgage Sales
Manager for the company’s mortgage team, and is now responsible for the daily
business development and longer-term annual goal achievement of the division.
Tafelski has been with Baylake Bank more than five years and is also responsible
for commercial loan business development. He has nearly 30 years of total
banking experience including work within retail and business lending, private
banking, and office management. He earned a Business Administration degree from
the University of Minnesota-Duluth and has worked in the Green Bay market area
since 1986.
“I’m excited about this new opportunity. Baylake Bank has a great team of
experienced mortgage bankers who have had amazing production due to the level of
service and responsiveness they provide their customers,” Tafelski said. “The
low rate environment the past two years has certainly helped spur this activity,
but it’s also due to our mortgage bankers’ professional and consistent approach
to providing customers with the best options for buying or refinancing their
home.”
Tafelski is also active in the local community. He is a current member and past
president of the Green Bay Downtown Kiwanis Club, an Executive Board Council
member and VP of Marketing for the Boy Scouts of America—Bay-Lakes Council, and
an active participant in the Green Bay and De Pere Chambers of Commerce, as well
as the Ledgeview and Ashwaubenon Business Associations. In addition, his banking
experience is put into practice as a volunteer Credit/Finance Advisory Committee
member for NWTC and as a board member and Treasurer for Legacies Arts Project,
Inc. in Green Bay.
“We have a great community that is filled with opportunities to network and
become involved with worthwhile organizations that contribute to our quality of
life. My approach to providing service, whether for the bank or in our
community, begins by building relationships. I enjoy what I do and believe I can
help expand the efforts of our mortgage bankers as well,” he said.
