PBaylake Bank Tall Ship Festival 2010MI to present Baylake Bank Tall Ship Festival 2010

Green Bay (August 11, 2008) – PMI will stage the Baylake Bank Tall Ship Festival on August 13-15, 2010 in downtown Green Bay. After a successful 2006 tall ship festival in Green Bay in which PMI was the event operator, PMI will be sole event organizer and operator in 2010.

“We are excited to take the lead role for an event that will mean so much to our community and especially downtown Green Bay,” said PMI President Ken Wachter. “I am confident our partnership with the City of Green Bay and Baylake Bank will make this event even better than the 2006 festival.”

As in 2006, Baylake Bank is title sponsor of the 2010 event.

“It is with great pleasure that Baylake Bank once again steps forward to help make the Tall Ship Festival happen in Green Bay,” said Baylake Bank President/CEO Robert Cera. “We are committed to helping the local economy and our communities for the long term.”

Baylake Bank Tall Ship Festival 2010 will have 12 Tall Ships® with one or two international vessels expected. Currently, there is verbal confirmation of a German tall ship. The ships will be docked at Leicht Memorial Park and at other downtown riverfront areas yet to be determined. The festival will also include food, music and other entertainment.

Due to the scope of this event, planning has already been going on for a year. The announcement is being made two years in advance to continue the work of recruiting volunteers and sponsors.

Green Bay is the first and only city in the state to have hosted a Tall Ships® event of this size and scope. It is expected to draw 60,000 people and hundreds of volunteers will be needed. The 2006 festival drew nearly 59,000 people to downtown Green Bay. Volunteer and festival information can also be found at www.tallshipgreenbay.com.
