Baylake Bank Donation Helps Build Habitat Home for Local Family
March 11, 2008
Poy Sippi, WI—Baylake Bank has once again helped dreams come true for
area families who would otherwise have found home ownership beyond their means.
Baylake recently donated $1000 to the Waushara County Habitat for Humanity
organization, which gives a "hand up," not a hand-out, to its Partner Families.
Each family that qualifies for a Habitat home must make a down payment, perform
a predetermined number of sweat-equity hours on construction of the home, and
make mortgage payments & pay taxes as any other homeowner does.
Habitat homes are built with volunteer labor, mostly donated land, many donated
materials, and lots of prayers. Its door is always open for volunteers, and
donations of land, materials, money and time are what keep the wheels in motion.
Waushara County Habitat for Humanity involves local businesses, churches,
service organizations and individuals who invest in the improvement of the
community.
"As a partner in the community, Baylake Bank is dedicated to helping build the
good life for the individuals and families in our area," commented Linda
Kennedy, Baylake Bank Central Region President. "This donation reflects our
commitment to being a good corporate neighbor.”
Baylake Bank currently serves Northeast and Central Wisconsin from 28 financial
centers throughout Brown, Door, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Outagamie,
Waupaca, and Waushara counties, and from their website at
www.baylake.com.
